NOCA and the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA)The National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) is the accreditation body of NOCA. Certification programs may apply and be accredited by the NCCA if they demonstrate compliance with each accreditation standard. NCCA's Standards exceed the requirements set forth by the American Psychological Association and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. CAADAC's certification board, CCBADC (CADC II) is nationally recognized and accredited by NCCA.
 
The International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium/Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse, Inc. (IC&RC) sets the international standards of practice in addiction counseling, prevention and clinical supervision through testing and credentialing of addiction professionals.
Incorporated in 1981, and currently headquartered in Harrisburg, PA, IC&RC is a not-for-profit voluntary membership organization comprised of certifying agencies involved in credentialing or licensing alcohol and other drug abuse counselors, clinical supervisors, prevention specialists, and criminal justice professionals.
IC&RC includes 73 agencies representing more than 35,000 certified professionals internationally. View our member boards.
 
IC&RC and its members are committed to public protection through the establishment of quality, competency-based certification programs for professionals engaged in the prevention and treatment of addictions and related problems. CAADAC's certification board is an IC&RC member board and is granted the rights and privileges of utilizing the international certification exams and products.
