JOIN US FOR THE FUN! Our 28th annual conference will be October 2nd – October 5th, 2008 at the beautiful Ontario Airport Marriott-in Ontario CA. CAADAC will have the entire property, all of it's meeting space and the fantastic lodging rate of $95.00 per night. Exhibit space opportunities will require reservations and payment in advance. Of course, CAADAC will have many exhibit/sponsor opportunities and packages for you to select from.
Conference Registration is now available! The rates on the form are good until September 1, 2008. There after will be a $25.00 late fee. Cancelations must be submitted in writting to CAADAC. Requests for cancellations received after September 1, 2008 are subjust to a $100.00 fee. No refunds will be given after Septembre 15, 2008. Call for Presentations! We are now accepting applications to present at our 28th Annual Conference. CAADAC is requesting all presentations be submitted by June 30, 2008 of which the committee will review and make selections by July 30, 2008. In advance, thank you for being a part of our Conference. ANNUAL CAADAC AWARDS DESCRIPTIONS Every year, CAADAC takes time to honor individuals who have gone above and beyond in carrying out our mission. This year’s awards will be presented during the Conference in Ontario CA. The award categories are:
The Hall of Fame Award—the nominee must be a past or current member-in-good-standing of CAADAC. They have made a contribution both as a leader in the field of alcohol and drug counseling, and to the growth of the Association. The George C. Cobbs Jr Award — the nominee must be a current member-in-good-standing of CAADAC. They must have sat on the CAADAC Board of Directors (past or present). Their outstanding service was/is punctuated by their ongoing support of CAADAC’s vision and ethical standards. The James Fulton Award — the nominee must be a past or current member-in-good-standing. He/she are recognized for their outstanding service to the Association; in particular, their visibility in supporting CAADAC’s mission to obtain licensure; thereby ensuring the highest of counselor standards. The Joseph A. Giannantonio II Award — the nominee must be a current member-in-good-standing of CAADAC. He/she will have made an outstanding contribution to counselor education and been recognized within academia for his/her leadership skills. He/she will have taught in the field of Addiction Medicine for a minimum of five years (10-15 years preferred). Coordination of a school or college drug and alcohol program is highly desirable. |
