Celebrity…. political contributions…. legislators who tell stories of rough housing with JFK? It may sound like an episode of the hit television show, West Wing, but it is a description of a real event—the first in CAADAC’s history—a political fund raiser held to gather support for CAADAC’s newly formed Political Action Committee (PAC).

The President’s Message in the September/October issue of the magazine of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT), The Therapist, had a great exercise about Political Action Awareness. He got the idea from CAMFT’s Executive Director, Mary Riemersma, and with her permission, I am presenting it to you.

CAADAC leadership was pleased when roll call at the Annual Membership Meeting held Saturday, October 8, 2005 in Sacramento met Bylaws requirements for a quorum. Previous year’s gatherings had fallen short of the required quorum.
