California Certified Prevention Specialist (CCPS) Requirements:- 100 hours approved prevention training (50 hours ATOD specific)
- 120 hours of practicum experience in five performance domains (minimum of 10 hours each)
- 2,000 hours of supervised ATOD prevention experience (supervision by a qualified prevention professional)
- 3 letters of reference (letters must attest to applicant's knowledge, experience and character)
- one from a from a former or current supervisor and two from peers
- Signed Code of Ethics & Consent to Release Information (available at our forms section)
- Passing of an IC&RC approved written examination
- Submit appropriate fees
