The first step towards the Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CADC I & II), is acquiring the certification manual, which contains:

Please visit our forms section to download the CCS, CCPS, RADI / CADC-I / CADC-II manuals, (oral exam, written exam) study guides or 12 core functions. Fill out the form, print and mail it with a check or money order to 3400 Bradshaw Road Suite A-5 Sacramento CA 95827 or it can be faxed with credit card authorization to (916) 368-9424.
 
Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC I & II) Requirements:
  • Meet all requirements of the CADCA formerly (RADI)
  • Provide documentation of 4,000 hours or two (2) years full-time supervised work experience as an alcohol and drug counselor (supervised by at least a CADC-II)
  • Pass IC&RC Case Presentation Method of Oral Review Examination (see manual for additional information and requirements)
  • Submit appropriate fees
