Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor Associate (CADCA) Requirements:- 315 hours of approved alcohol and drug formal classroom education:
- Introduction & Overview
- Physiology & Pharmacology
- Law & Ethics
- Case Management
- Individual, Group, and Family Counseling
- Personal & Professional Growth
- Supervised Practicum (supervised by at least a CADC-I)
- Including classroom participation (45 hours) and completion of 255 hours at an approved agency;
- Pass the IC&RC written examination
- Sign a Code of Ethics and Scope of Practice (Available in our forms section)

In order for an individual to advance from a CADCA to the next step, which is the Oral review exam, requires that CADCA be current and in good standing.
