The hearing for SB 707, Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors Certification and Licensing Law is set for April 29, 2009 with the Senate Health Committee. The hearing will commence at 1:30 pm in Room 4203 of the State Capitol in Sacramento CA. (The State Capital building is located on 10th and L Street - please click  here for a map CA State Capital Map). Even if you are unable to attend, your help is needed!  It is imperative to get this bill through the first committee.  This will give CAADAC ample time to continue to work with the author and the state department to assure amendments meet the needs of our members and constituents.  Please call Senate Health Committee members to verbalize your support for SB 707 if amended.    CALL TODAY!
